The morning bite has been the best for the last couple of weeks. Some good schools of bass are blowing up the shad over deeper water. With HUGE balls of bait around, its been a bit tough to get them to decide on an artificial lure. Downsized baits are closer to the size of the shad I'm seeing. Hopefully these will grow larger as we get closer to Fall.
The intense heat is really getting tough to take. Let's hope some cooler weather is coming soon!
