We had 15 minutes of rain in the entire month of August. The lake is about 2ft below full pool, so I had to pull the boat out because it was too far out for the charger to reach. I guess we are blessed as all the other lakes are down even further. Fishing during the month was actually fairly good. 3-4lb schools on the edge of the creek channels and a few good ones caught on Tx-rig Mag-worms and Bandito Bugs near roadbeds. Just hard to fish in 106deg. temps. The best news is that the shad population has significantly increased. All we need now is rain. We are expecting a "cool" front tonight and its only supposed to be 96-97deg. 🥵 We hope to get a few drops too.
