3.31.2024 FISHING REPORT

B.O.A.T. = Bust Out Another Thousand. 🤑

Most of February and March was spent spending money on the boat. Some elective, some NOT!

Took advantage of Garmin's sale and upgraded both stern & bow electronics. NICE! Then learned that I had all but destroyed my trolling motor shaft. So, a new Garmin Force is firmly attached to the front, now. That was the painful part. But not as painful as the motor trim issues that have plagued me for months. Suffice it to say that I was out of money and had to have my son-in-law do a "repair" that could be described as... engineered. Thanks S.M.!!

Fishing, you ask??? There ain't no fish in this lake!! The spawning pattern has all but shut down the normal bite. The only bright spot was early in the month. Had a client catch three 5-lb'ers, along with several others. After that session, the fish just disappeared on me. Spawn is dang tough here. But, I'm a Silver Line kinda guy. So I choose to see it this way: Not catching fish for a month is only helping the population. So, I have to take the good with the bad.
