Well, dang. I missed it by THAT much. So, it's March 1st, and forgot to post for Feb. Sorry. Here it is:
We started off very strong! Good numbers and solid sizes, too. That's how February is supposed to go. Then, we had record heat, followed by single digital temps... and heavy rain. That's when things got weird.
I think the fish freaked out. They thought "Oh! Time to go shallow and get to bedding up." Then, a week of freezing temperatures had them backed off. We ended the month with lovely weather and they said, "I'm not sure about that."
It certainly was a tough bite towards the end, but we managed to scratch out a few nice fish.
BTW: This lake is no longer a secret. The parking lot is full! This lake is too small for that kind of pressure. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Unless you want to come fish with me! LOL!
