To say 2021 was a weird year would be an understatement. This was true for bass fishing on Lake Naconiche as well. (I hear Naconiche wasn't the only lake to have a tough bite in 2021) All the locals say the same... this year was just different.
Blame the "Snow-magedeon" back in February? Blame the TPWD spray to knock back the Salvinia? Blame the fact that I had to get a full time job and couldn't fish near as much? Whaaah! No need to lay blame... just keep fishing. The fact of the matter is that catching fish is only part of the enjoyment. Albeit, a HUGE factor! The reality is this: Get outside, enjoy nature, throw a lure, or just cruise around and breathe in the fresh air. To be on the lake is to be blessed.
With eyes to the sky, I want to thank God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon us. I also want to thank all the folks who came out to fish with me this year. YOU are why I get to guide on my beautiful lake. Thank you for blessing me with that opportunity.
If you get a chance to come out during the pre-spawn (Jan-Mar) you'll have a ligit shot at a personal best fish. This I am sure of. So, come Attack the Nac!
