The lack of significant rain has allowed the water to get very clear. The shad are moving up the creeks in huge numbers. Obviously, the bass are following the shad migration.
With extra clear water, using natural colored lures can help get you bit more often. And, of course, using shad imitation lures like an underspin or an Alabama rig will definitely increase your chances of a successful trip. Tip: Count you lure down to 10-12ft... that's been where they've been hanging out. Shhhhhh, keep that a secret 😉
