10.15.2020 FISHING REPORT

Writer's picture: Eric WolfeEric Wolfe

The first few sessions of our 4-day guided trip had some great conditions and produced some good numbers. We found them in 10-15ft of water, and due to the thermocline falling to the 16ft depth, these fish were relating to the bottom. Throwing a deep diving crankbait, that deflects off the bottom, brought some nice bites. When the crankbait bite died off a Jackall Rerange jerkbait got some vicious strikes. When all else failed, a downsized underspin got the majority of the bass to engage. Once the high pressure set in, the bite got tough. But, the Cooper Bros hung in there and kept chunkin' and windin'. Overall, we had a successful 4-day trip.
