Picked up 11 fattys in just a couple of hours this morning, including the 5.8lb girl in the pic. (Also got a 6.7 & a 6.13 the last couple of days)
Started doing a different technique with the underspin on the roadbeds and other "stump-clear" areas. Instead of counting it down to a desired depth and hopping it back, I'm letting it fall to the bottom. Then, "soft-stroking" it up off the bottom. (About 2-3ft) The fish are thumping it on the fall, or once it lands back on the bottom. Staying in contact with the bait is crucial to feel the bite.
The water temp is slowly rising into the low 50's. This has the bass feeding up heavily... getting fat for the spawn. If your trying to catch a P.B. this is the time!!
