Life is Good on the Lake
ABOUT US
My name is Eric Wolfe and I'd like to give you a brief history of who I am, and how I fell in love with fishing. I've worked in the Houston Ship Channel area for about 30 years. I started in the refining and chemicals industry back in 1990 after serving my country in the U.S. Air Force.
My personal fishing story can start as far back as 1975, when my grandfather would take my family saltwater fishing in Port Aransas for speckled trout. As a youngster, I would stay up all night to fish under the lights with him. Looking back, I know that my grandfather was the reason I fell in love with fishing. Almost 50 years later, though the species has changed to largemouth bass, I still love the pursuit and the hunt for that thump and that tug on my line.
In 2007, I was blessed to have my fishing partner, Melissa, agree to marry me. She's quite the fisherman. (Fisherperson, if you will) Together we have acquired an acre or two on Lake Naconiche and have started our new lives as partners in a new venture. She is supporting my guide service business and, frankly, I could not do it without her.
There aren't enough words to describe the many things I love about this area, and particularly this lake. However, there is one thing about it that stands out for me; the simple fact that, on Lake Naconiche, the next cast could be the one to produce a personal best fish. Who knows, you might even break a record!
